Has more then thirty years experience teaching and choreographing dance with children and young adults. Ms. Cates owned and operated her dance studio in North Carolina after attending school at the prestigious North Carolina School of the Arts. Ms. Cates has twenty years of performing experience ranging from soloist of the Charlotte Ballet Company to the Lead in the the rock opera "Tommy." After relocating to the New York Metropolitan area in the 1980's, Ms. Cates has staged and choreographed many plays and musicals including Off-Broadway and is a NYS Council for the Arts grants recipient. Ms. Cates designs and teaches educational enhancing programs derived from her wealth of experience as a working artist.
